Mitchelstown Caves…

Amagnificent palace of nature. Mitchelstown Caves are open daily throughout the year and the temperature remains constantly at 54* Fahrenheit. It is owned by the English family who provide very informative and entertaining guided tours of the caves.
Mitchelstown Caves are located midway between Mitchelstown and Cahir just off the N8 ( Exits 11 or 12 off the M8) Distance from the Firgrove Hotel: 15 minutes

Mitchelstown Heritage Trail

Mitchelstown is a planned town and the weekly market on New Square every Thursday was granted by Royal Charter in 1640.

This trail starts in New Market Square and can be walked in about 2 ½ hours. There are information Boards at the various locations, each one leading you on to the next one. It is a lovely way to spend some time viewing places like the unique Kingston College and St. Georges Church & St. Fanahans Holy Well to mention a few…
